Cabela’s medical plan through Blue Cross Blue Shield provides eligible full-time employees with comprehensive benefits through use of BCBS’ PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) network. This extensive plan covers office visits (both primary care physicians as well as specialists), unlimited preventive care and other health services (such as surgeries, therapy, hospital expenses, etc.).
Employees who opt into Cabela’s full-time health care plan are also automatically enrolled in BCBS’ prescription drug and Delta Dental plans. The three-tiered prescription drug program confers benefits to both retail and mail-order prescriptions, while the dental plan covers policyholders for preventive care and restorative work—both basic and major—and orthodontia (covered children up to age 19 qualify).
Additionally, team members who decline medical and prescription drug coverage may elect to receive dental coverage independently.
All eligible full-time Cabela’s employees, that take advantage of our health benefits, have access to an array of personal wellness tools, as well as counseling services. Through Cabela’s partnership with BCBS, you can create a customized plan for a better you through health coaching, 24-hour help lines and more. Advice is also available for personal nutrition, wellness, prescription research, and illnesses. Services are also available for all employees interested in losing a little weight (or maintaining a healthy weight) or finally kicking the (tobacco) habit. Annually, Cabela’s offers flu shots to all employees as well as many other targeted wellness programs available to all employees.

As such, Cabela’s gives all eligible part-time employees the option to enroll in a limited indemnity medical plan from HM Insurance Group. This coverage provides assistance for policyholders, offsetting certain health care costs one would otherwise have to pay out-of-pocket.
Through Delta Dental, eligible part-time members of the Cabela’s family may choose to receive dental coverage. The Delta Dental Plan pays 100% of all diagnostic and preventive costs*, as well as a portion of any restorative work performed.

Unreimbursed medical, dental and vision expenses are covered under your FSA. ADP issues Health Care FSA Debit Cards to enrolled members to make paying from your Health Care FSA quick and easy.

All eligible full and part-time Cabela’s employees can enroll in a voluntary vision plan through Superior Vision. Vision plan participants are covered for annual eye exams, lenses and frames (on a biannual basis), as well as many other benefits.
