Cabela’s, through Standard Life of Canada, provides insurance benefits to all eligible full-time employees. The premiums are cost-shared between the employee and Cabela’s. Covered employees can monitor their personal information and claim progress as well as download forms and other information online.
Our extensive health care plan provides 100% of pharmacare, travel, ambulance and vision care and 80% of paramedical services and other medical supplies to various annual maximum amounts with no deductible. Employees can select from single or family coverage and a drug card ensures quick and comfortable prescription pick-up.
The dental care plan provides 80% coverage for all basic dental services to an annual maximum amount. Employees can select from single or family coverage and reimbursement can be provided directly to the dental office of choice.
For eligible full-time employees, Cabela’s provides life insurance plan that awards 100% of your base salary to your selected beneficiary. Further, we have an attractive package of voluntary optional life insurance that our employees may purchase at attractive rates for themselves, as well as for their spouses and children.
Our benefits also include coverage in the event of accidental death or dismemberment. This includes an additional 100% of your base salary to your selected beneficiary in the event of accidental death.
Disability insurance is an excellent program to ensure peace of mind for you and your family in the case of accident or illness which prevents you from earning an income for a period of time. Short term disability insurance provides salary continuance if an employee is unable to work due to a medical disability for up to 17 weeks. Long term disability insurance provides salary continuance if an employee is unable to work due to a medical disability from 17 weeks up to two years in their own occupation and longer if the employee is unable to work in any occupation.
